A Few Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Vote
Election day is just about 24 hours away. Have you made your choice for president yet? No? Well, Allow me to help. I won’t give you any information, what I’m gonna do is ask you to answer a few questions about what you think is important. I’ll keep the questions as broad as possible, and explain the reasoning behind asking them in a few spots.
If you’ve made your choice, just tag along and see what happens!
1 ) How do you feel about the candidates foreign policy stances? I ask this because John McCain will be more or less a mirror image of our current president in regard to national security, while Barack Obama seeks a more diplomatic tone in dealing with the world. If you think this is THE main issue of this election, and you feel a strong national security stance is more important than diplomacy, then John McCain is your man. If you think America has been doing it wrong of late and want a more civil tone to our world discussions, Then Barack Obama is your candidate on this Issue.
2 ) When should we leave Iraq? 16 Months? When were done? When the Iraqis tell us to?
3 ) How do you feel about both candidates reactions to the economic meltdown?
4 ) Is prior experience, or lack thereof, a reason to not vote for a candidate?
5 ) Is the Second Amendment Important to you? Do you think any candidate will try to take your guns away from you? Has any other President tried to? And if So, were they successful? Those last two questions here in part 4 were just something to chew on while you answer the second one.
6 ) How much Power should the President have? Could you picture any of these candidates lessening the power of the Presidency? And whom do you trust with the immense power over the people and the world at large? Anyone? If so why, and if not why not?
7 ) Should Social Security be Privatized? Kept as it is? What about other entitlement programs? Are entitlement programs a solution to problems or a cause? Why?
8 ) How much have you thought about the House races in your state? How about Senate races, if you have any? Your vote there will swing the election and all the legislation that will pass through both houses of congress for at least the next two years! Do you know your candidates? If Not, Brush Up!
9 ) How important are the Vice Presidential candidates here anyway? In all likelihood the next President will live out his term, barring a calamity, so knowing that, how important are the #2’s here, really?
10 ) Has either sides campaigning left you wondering why they did what they did? Did the rhetoric of the campaign make more of an impression on you than the issues? Did you let that have an impact on you? If not why not, and if so why?
I personally think it is more important to get a grasp on policy issues and stances than rhetoric and campaign posturing, but that’s just me….Which means i let about 90% of it, from all sides, go in one ear and out the other. I had my bullshit detector turned up to maximum sensitivity all election cycle, and I am hoping that you did as well.
I could ask 100 other question, or have asked these questions in 100 other ways. I wanted to, with these questions, get away from the campaign rhetoric and get back to the meat of the issues, so that when you walk into that voting booth on election day, you are doing so not with thoughts of how much money was spent on clothes or who called who a socialist or any other nonsense like that.
A few more quick things. Get plenty of rest today. The lines tomorrow may be long at your polling place, and you’ll want to be well rested for what may be an hours long wait on line. For those who are interested, I will be on twitter for most of the day tomorrow, I am guessing from about noon, after I vote. Click the top of the page on twitter where it says “Hot Political Topics” and Look for MikeTheRhino. And click here to take a political quiz.
I’ll Talk to you Tomorrow.

Ayers And Obama Exposed…
…as having not all that much to do with one another. First a statement of charges and then response to said charges.
According to a McCain ad and several appearances by Him and His running mate, Barack Obama has lied about his association with William Ayers. The claim has been made that they “Pal around” together by Sarah Palin, and John McCain has called the two men “Associates” implying a current friendship. It has also been stated that both Mister Ayers and Sen. Obama ran a “Radical” education foundation.
First things first. Senator Obama has not ever hidden the fact that he and mister Ayers worked together in the past. Never. He has stated that the two men worked together for several years in both the Woods Foundation and the Annenberg Challenge, of which Barack Obama was Chairman. Sen. Obama has played down what little relationship there was, and with good cause I think. The Republicans have tried to imply untrustablilty and making a link to terrorism, while repeating his middle name, hussein, at rallies across America. The Point? To make a terrorist connection in the mind of voter with Barack Obama. And to listen to the Republican base speak, it has, for them at least, worked.
Lemmings. But back to Ayers and Obama…
There was also the party at The Ayers residence where Barack Obama started his political career. But that was not just a meeting between the Ayers family and the Obama’s. It was a party for then outgoing state Senator Alice J. Palmer at that residence, who was introducing Mister Obama as the Heir Apparent for her seat, i.e. she was backing his run for state senate. There were several other parties like it, apparently. One such was at the house of Rabbi A.J. Wolf, who lives across the street from Mister Obama. So it was neither a one off event nor a meeting of radicals. It was a party in a series of parties given to introduce local politicians to Mister Obama.
There is not any way to link Barack Obama to terrorism or anything radically anti-American in any way via this meeting or any of his work with Mister Ayers. None. To make such an implication would be dubious at best and farcical at worst.
Next. As for palling around, and being Mister Ayers “Associate” one word comes to mind. Bullshit. These men were Co-workers who met several times a year to hand out grants, not guys who worked together day in and day out in adjoining cubicles.
There have been statements made that Mister Ayers Got Sen. Obama, then a young lawyer, his chairmanship at the Annenberg Challenge. False. It was in fact the suggestion of one Deborah Leff, then president of the Joyce Foundation, a charitable foundation based in Chicago, with whom Mister Obama had worked.
As for the Radical nature of the education foundation. Three words to describe that charge. Radical my ass. It was a foundation set up in 1993 by then 85 year old billionaire Walter Annenberg, former Ambassador to the U.K. Under Richard Nixon to help save Public schools in America. Read about it here. It was Millions of dollars given to schools to help educate our children in a great many places, from Chattanooga to Salt Lake City to Houston, among a number of cities throughout the United States. No talk of an Agenda. Money for those cities so those cities could give kids the best education possible. I cannot see what is wrong with wanting to give public school kids the best possible education. To call it radical without any backup of the statement is just dumb.
All in all the Ayers/Obama conection is simply one based on common education interests. Was Ayers a terrorist? Yes. But not when he worked with Mister Obama. Not by a long shot, and to make the terrorist connection is silly and childish which looks to this writer as nothing more than standard attack politics, aka stupid horsecrap.
Tell me what you think America. Drop me a Line so we can discuss this subject in depth. I’m looking forward to it. Special thanks to the New York Times and Factcheck.org for the Information gleaned from them.

Let’s Get Educated
Good Morning boys and girls!!! Today we’re going to talk about an education ad, and I think we are ALL going to receive an education. We are all going to look at it and find exactly where the truth lies. Sound good to you? Yes? Excellent! Let’s Begin!
Ok, the Beginning of the ad here, let’s see….The First Snippet was taken out of context here, let’s try to look at what was actually said. Education week did in fact say “hadn’t made a significant mark on education” but also went on to tout his early childhood initiatives, and said that in illinois he created “a state board to oversee the expansion of early-childhood education”. The statement that McCain used was meant as a comparison to other members of the Democratic party during the Primaries.
Out of Context. Out of Line.
The second snippet, the “Elusive” tag, that McCain says was hung on Obama was in fact hung on BOTH candidates in a July 7th Washington post editorial.
Ya Know, I honestly wonder if McCain really approves his own messages. I would think that if an editorial slammed both me and my opponent, I would NOT be quoting it for the world to see.
The third snippet was from an opinion piece written by Chicago tribune writer Steve Chapman, who dislikes the fact that Barack Obama does not embrace the use of school vouchers.
The real problem with this ad has been the main claim of the ad, which may be the biggest lie in the entire campaign. That Barack Obama wanted to teach Sex Education to Kindergartners.
To quote Politifact, whose website helped me research all of this enormously:
Carol Ronen, the now-retired state senator who sponsored the bill, said its main intent was to make sure that teenagers got information that was “medically accurate,” a requirement that wasn’t then part of the school code. A secondary effect was to expand age-appropriate sex education down to lower grades, to allow things like teaching school children to avoid sex predators, Ronen said.
“Barack never had anything to do with it,” she said. “This is a lot of hoopla.”
Obama voted for the legislation in committee on a party-line vote. He was not a sponsor nor a co-sponsor, and the legislation never made it to a full Senate vote. So calling it one of his accomplishments is wrong, since it never became law and it wasn’t his bill anyway.
So, According to John McCain, the little fact that the bill HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH BARACK OBAMA makes no difference. That would be a slight fly in the ointment when trying to nail someone for passing off allegedly bad legislation, would it not?
Oh, one other thing, teaching school children to avoid sex predators is a bad thing? Should we leave a gap in their education there and make it easier for America’s children to be abducted, raped, and killed? Is that the future America’s children can look forward to should John McCain become President?
The more I hear from McCain, the more I am convinced that he is a raving idiot who shouldn’t be allowed near his own bank account, and the White House should be OFF LIMITS to this man. He is insanely out of touch, especially if he thinks anyone with as little as three working brain cells willl buy this weak stupid bullshit.
Think the ad hit the right note? Think McCain is Onto something? YOUR OUT OF YOU MIND! But I’d be glad to bark at you about it! Drop me a line and we’ll have one helluva fight! It’ll be GREAT!
I’m Uncle Mikey and I approve this message.

Things That Bother Me About This Election Cycle
This Election should be about fixing what’s wrong with America. It has become a clash between two Powerful personalities.
There are millions of dollars being spent on attack ads. Almost Nothing gets spent on policy ads. They don’t exist.
The Economy is in the worst shape it has been in in my lifetime, and yet it is barely mentioned by the Republicans.
Every issue that is out there is used, not to generate interest in what our next president is going to do for us regarding that issue, but to confuse the issue.
I believe that the Average American is being duped by the two party system, but if you vote for someone outside the two party system, you are voting for someone who will not be president, hence a wasted vote. I have heard the concept “there is no such thing as a wasted vote” bandied about. I do NOT believe in it. So it’s a vote against the system. So what. Did you get what you wanted legislated in doing that, even once? No. Is the world a better place because you voted for someone who got NO electoral college votes? No. And yet there is need for reform of the two party system. We need to make it possible to have a third and even fourth Major party within the United States. As it is, the smaller parties are a joke. Ron Paul could join any non major party ticket, Make it instantly viable, and get nothing done. That is a Shame and that NEEDS to be fixed.
Speaking of Ron Paul, Why is he not running for President as an Independent? What about Jesse Ventura? Michael Bloomberg? There Are enough people who want to reform the system to REFORM THE SYSTEM, and yet the system goes Unreformed. Sad but True. Truly sad.
Lipstick on a Pig has gotten more play recently than education reform.
BTW, The Pig is the Republican Party, The Lipstick is Sarah Palin. And it doesn’t help.
Personally I don’t think this, My very first MP3, is all that good, but I hope I was at least slightly entertaining. I need to work on a using a script. I just winged it here, and it shows. The guitar at the end sucked, but I haven’t been playing much lately, so what can you expect.
Catch y’all Later!

Political Diversion: Pigs, Lipstick, and a Good, Old Fashioned Brawl.
I do so love it when throw me raw red meat. I truly do. This one’s a doozy.
Tuesday, during a speech given to a crowd in Lebanon, Virginia, said of John McCain and his Economic policies,”You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. You can wrap a fish in a newspaper called change, but it’s still gonna stink.”
John McCain, Karl Rove, and the rest of the Republicans gave the Obama campaign the Once over, latching on to the pig portion of the above statement, and claiming that it must have been a dig at John McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin. They said they wanted an apology. They claimed the remark was sexist. They said that it was wrong to speak about poor Sarah Palin like that. The words “Schoolyard Insults” were bandied about. They released a web ad saying that it was a horrible thing. It is here where the usual Democratic response would be to issue an apology. The Democrat’s response to this hail of Anger from the Republicans?
You’re Righteous Indignation is a lie. Cram it. One of Obama’s subordinates, I forget which one at this point, said John McCain said the same thing about Hillary Clinton a few months ago, and it was no big deal then, and just a few minutes ago watched THAT clip, of McCain saying it about Hillary. No one batted an eyelash about that. I pay CLOSE attention to the things said on the campaign trail, and this passed under my radar, meaning no one said anything about it. Funny thing is, I don’t recall any outrage over that use of the term.
OK, he didn’t actually say “Cram it” , but you get the point. The Dems didn’t roll over, and Not only didn’t roll over, they struck back. Hard. Here is what he actually said, Courtesy of CNN:
“We have real problems in this country right now. The American people are looking to us for answers, not distractions, not diversions, not manipulations. They want real answers to the real problems we are facing.
“I don’t care what they say about me. But I love this country too much to let them take over another election with lies and phony outrage and swift boat politics. Enough is enough,”
Let’s watch the Lipstick on a pig video:
Now, answer me one question. Anywhere there, do you hear the name Sarah Palin mentioned once? I don’t. Inferred even once? I don’t hear it either. And if you do, you’re seeing what you want to see, and nothing that resembles the real world. SNAP OUT OF IT!
The Republicans look stupid over this, but I don’t think they can help themselves. They are so used to Democrats just wilting, that when one finally stands up to them, they frankly look a bit lost.
But I’ll give them this much. They aren’t backing down. Despite the fact that they’ve lost this one, that there is no way to actually look at that video and have any real tangible connection to Sarah Palin, they are still talking about this being sexist. My question to them, and anyone out there is sexist Against who? John McCain? It was John McCain and his policies that Barack Obama was talking about. Sarah wasn’t mentioned once.
It’s OK tho. I am getting used to the McCain campaign shooting itself in the foot. But I like the fact that the Obama Campaign shot them first.
How do you feel about this? Do you think it was silly for John McCain’s camp to attack the lipstick on a pig line? Did The Obama camp take the right line to counter McCain and his “indignation”? Do you like lipstick on pigs? And if so, why?
As for me…. Personally, I prefer five alarm hot sauce, but that’s just me. Nothing wrong with setting pigs on fire and adding a little hot sauce afterwards. They’re tastier that way! ![]()

Non Issues Revisited: Are you Experienced?
I have a question for everyone reading this. How much experience did you have when you got to your first job? None obviously. Your third? Your Fifth? Your first job might not have been near as difficult or demanding as the one you have now, but did the jobs you had early on prepare you in any way for the job you have now? Did they Teach you anything? Yes?
I thought So.
I want to put to rest once and for all the myth of “lack of experience” in this campaign, if for no other reason than to create in your minds the notion that there is in fact enough experience on both tickets, and I am speaking now of Barack Obama AND Sarah Palin. Their supposed “lack of experience” is a media created myth and does not play all that much of a factor in how good a President or Vice President these two can be.
Let’s, before we begin the argument, look at the experience levels of these two people.
Sarah and Barack have a few things in Common. They are both in their 40’s. They are both strong speakers and have been in politics for a couple of years, not many but a few. Sarah has been governor for just under 2 years, Barack has been a Senator for about 3½. They both came up through the ranks rapidly. They both started at the bottom.
There are things here that these two have in common with some very well known leaders this nation knows and lauds. 8 Presidents have come to power in their 40’s, including Teddy Roosevelt, the Youngest man to ascend to the presidency at just 42 years of age, John F. Kennedy, WWII hero and one of the most inspiring leaders this nation has ever seen, and Bill Clinton, the only President to actually Balance the Budget…ever if memory serves me.
I do not think it was experience that made each of these men good and even great presidents. It was strength of will, character, the ability to learn and adapt while in office that made each of these people good at what they were. Leaders.
How Much experience did any of these people have when they became president? T.R. was a sickly boy who fought through great adversity to become the man he became. He was the police chief of New York City, Governor of New York for 2 Years, and Assistant Secretary to the Navy. How would that play in today’s election cycle?
They’d hound him. They’d hammer him, relentlessly.
John F. Kennedy was a Rich man’s son who was born into a prominent political family in the Boston area, and when started his run for the Presidency, He had already been groomed and primed for office, and had started his political career when he was only 29 years old, so he had some experience. But if you put him in today’s election cycle, how much grief do you think a one term senator who had served a few years as a Representative from Massachusetts would catch?
Maybe not as much crap as Obama and Palin have received, but youth would still have hindered him.
And we all know Bill Clinton’s story. Former Governor of Arkansas, he was a Kid when he first came into office there as Governor, only 23 years old. He was hammered for not being experienced enough to run the country back in 92, he was just too young, only 46. He made it though, didn’t he? Did pretty good too.
Only 46. Sarah Palin is 44 and Barack Obama turned 47 last month. Too young and inexperienced my ass.
To make the “inexperienced” argument is to deny the greatness of these other young leaders, T.R. and JFK, and Bill Clinton, and mocks the accomplishments of every young upcoming aspiring politician. Would you say “NO, you MUST serve as a lackey until WE DECIDE when you are ready?” Who are you to judge the people like that?
Where would T.R. have been if we had that Mindset back then? What about JFK?
Please. The experience question here is a silly question. It makes no difference.
There are other things which you can hit these two people with. If experience was THE key factor in electing officials, we would have nothing but old men every election cycle. 8 - 40 something presidents and none over 70 at their first inauguration tells me that that is simply not the case. Age and experience really do not matter all that much. If it did there would be no such thing as good strong young leaders. You would discount the great deeds of JFK and Teddy Roosevelt, Bill Clinton, U.S. Grant and the like.
Is there such a thing as not enough experience? You bet yer ass! You obviously wouldn’t want the fry guy at Mickey D’s with his finger on the Button, but a few years under your belt to learn the ropes politically and a keen and observant mind should be enough to handle anything the world throws at you. This I think is true in most lines of work.
What do you think? Do these two have enough to handle sitting in, or in the case of Mrs. Palin, a melanoma away from, the Big chair? How important is the “experience” issue for you? Does it matter? Should it? Drop me a line and let’s yak about it for a bit.

A Not So Swift Boat Sinks
A few words about Jerome Corsi, author of “Unfit for Command” and the new “Obama Nation”. The Man is an Idiot. A blithering yammering buffoon. A dolt of the Highest order. I would say something nice about him, but …. wait ….. no i wouldn’t. There are few types of people I have no room for in this world, and conspiracy theorists are near the top of that list. Bullshit artists are not far behind.
Let’s talk about what the man has written before. His most famous work “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry” was an amazingly brazen lie from one cover to the other, Those who served with John Kerry refuted every negative claim made against him in the book, and contains interviews about John Kerry with people who never even served with the man!
His Book “Atomic Iran: How the Terrorist Regime Bought the Bomb and American Politicians” claims that American Democrats have been bought by the Iranians and that the dems are working with the mullahs to get Iran the Bomb, and that a prominent Iranian American who did fund raising for John Kerry in 2004 was in fact an agent of the Iranian Government. Untrue. Completely Unfounded.
He has also claimed that John McCain has the backing of a group tied to Al-Qaeda , that there is an unlimited supply of oil being constantly created under the earths crust, and that George Bush was trying to turn the U.S., Mexico and Canada into one big nation.
Um…. How high do you have to be to believe this bullshit?
A note. I have NOT read this book. I was not even going to cover this, but I decided to take a look at the rebuttal “Unfit for Publication”, put out in response to this book. I saw that the Junior Senator from Illinois had nailed Mister Corsi for no less then 50 Inaccuracies, then started to read the rebuttal a bit more In depth. I may read Mister Corsi’s book, at some point. But I tell you I have a low tolerance for Bullshit, and I do not want to spend $25 dollars or whatever the price of this book is and give it to this man and encourage useless stupidity. If he had anything credible to say, I would look into it. I haven’t see one credible thing from this man though, anywhere. And I have been looking.
Onto covering Obama’s response to Corsi. Always leading with corsi’s own statements from the book “The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality”
Let’s See…In no particular order: Corsi said that Barack Obama’s parents may never have been married, and on the same page said they were.
He says that in Barack Obama’s first book “Dreams of my Father” that he never wrote about his father’s problems with Alchohol, despite the fact that he did.
Corsi says Obama never wrote about taking his wife to be Michelle to Kenya in that same book, but He in fact did.
Corsi claims that the book wasn’t dedicated to his family, when it in fact was.
Corsi claims hasn’t answered questions as to whether he had dealt drugs in college, or continued to do drugs into his law school days, and then seemingly implies that Barack may have in fact kept doing drugs by asking whether he had continued using drugs even after he had become a State and even U.S. Senator.
He stopped when he was 20, and has stated so on numerous occasions.
Corsi claimed that Barack Obama took sides in Kenyan Politics in 2006 by siding with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
He did nothing of the sort.
I am hoping you see a pattern here.
To read a more complete list of Gaffes, Goofs and Mistakes from America’s Dumbest Author, click here.
I have to say, I am not in the least intrigued by this man or what he has to say. Sounds like a conservative wish list for what they would like to say about Senator Obama, but falls far short of what Mister Obama says is reality. And knowing Mister Corsi’s prior work, I believe Senator Obama here.
Watch a Video about the man, from Countdown with Keith Olbermann.
Am I the only one who loses his mind when he runs into stupidity like this? Do you believe there is a place for clear lies like these? Do you think anyone actually Buys this claptrap? Do you think I am off base with my assertions here? Drop me a Line and Let me Know!

YOU ARE BEING WATCHED
Ok, maybe they aren’t watching you, but they will have the right to, and sooner than you think. Wanna find out how? Then READ THIS!
For those of you who brought your sanity with you and decided to maybe just give it a glance you probably saw that the 114 page document attached is quite possibly one of the most confusing documents ever put out. I am, along with reading this document, looking up various salient terms, and finding out to the best of my ability what the hell is going on here precisely.
And there’s some interesting stuff buried in all this crap. Examples follow:
First off, It’s obviously not just a wiretap program, from the language of the bill. ANY information passed from a person reasonably believed to be a, using their language here, “united states person” outside the United States, to anyone can be taken and used by the Department of Justice against them. And it is more than just a wiretap program in another way. They can do Physical searches without warrants on anyone. If they think you spoke to Hassan Al Blowupanamerican, or someone else affiliated with an organization they think might be connected in any way with any organization he’s affiliated with and they don’t like it, they can walk into your house and search it without a warrant.
….And Ladies and Gentlemen, Don’t talk to Terrorists. They want to kill us. Just say no!
Section 703(a-b) says the Government can pick up any and all international communications, and use said information however they please, even if you “United States person” are one of the people on the other end of that communication, without court review of said information.
Section 703(g) says their is no requirement or need of any evidence of any crime or terrorism on anyone’s part for them to watch you, listen in on your phone calls, read your e-mail, etc, etc, etc.
Section 703(h) says their is the potential for stiff penalties for “service providers” who do not go along with the government’s wishes.
Section 703(i-k) says that the fisa court can only intervene After surveillance has begun, and even then will only get to use information handed over by the executive branch to said court.
Fun stuff Huh? And the best part? If this bill passes AS IS, it will be On the books Until 2012.
At least it’s not permanent.
Why put this on election-coverage.com?
Simple. Both Barack Obama and John McCain will vote FOR this controversial measure.
I was going to, but decided not to comment on The Immunity Clause either. Or the Attorney General’s near God-like power in cases involving anything even remotely concerned with surveillance connected with this bill, or the AG’s capacity to kill state level investigations where this law comes into play.
Is it a Good Idea for either of the candidates to vote for this bill? Bad idea? Where do you stand On Fisa? Is it a breach of the Fourth Amendment? Is Security that important that we should give up a portion of the Constituton that protects us from a potentially abusive government to have it?
Are you really that afraid of the Terrorists, that you’ll give up your freedom for them? Let’s talk!

Flag Burning, Gay Marriage, and Flag Pins: Political Diversion
DON’T Burn the flag! It’s Bad! However it isn’t and Shouldn’t be put in the Constitution as an Amendment. Neither should a Gay marriage ban. And the whole flag pin thing is just silly.
Diversion#1: The Flag Burning Amendment. Doesn’t the flag stand for freedom? Should you not be free to do with the flag what you like, AS AN EXPRESSION OF THAT FREEDOM? Sure, you run the risk of getting killed by Americans who love the flag, and that number would include me, but shouldn’t we have the right to do what we like with the symbols that surround us? Isn’t that what freedom is really about? The capacity to do what you wish without the Government Meddling in your affairs?
While I think Flag burning is an affront to all that is good and right, I also think it is an even Bigger affront to The American People for the Government to pass a law of ANY type that prohibits any form of EXPRESSION OF FREEDOM.
Diversion #2: The Federal Marriage Amendment. All the gay community wants is to be seen as on an equal footing as the straight community, and have the same rights. I can Marry, and I have, I have a beautiful wife, why can’t two women get married? Or two men? Who are we kidding here, this issue isn’t about what is good and right, it is about offending the sensibilities of Homophobes who are in all likelihood sexually conflicted themselves, and unable to articulate it.
There are few arguments for the “Federal Marriage amendment” that make sense. Lets see…
Protection of “Conjugal marriage”: Please…. In what way can you seriously say that Conjugal marriage needs protection? Is my Marriage to my wife in jeopardy because two homosexuals want to say “I do”? No. and neither is yours! Or Anyone else’s for that matter. Protection isn’t necessary when nothing is being attacked.
Most other arguments deal in minutiae and Interstate law. AKA Whether the Laws and Judgments of One state should necessarily apply in another state. Legalistic Mumbo Jumbo that has no real meaning outside of a courtroom. The Proponents of said amendment sound like they are trying to save themselves the hassle of doing their jobs and Rendering judgments. Bunch of Lazy Bastards!
The truth is, many straight people are Offended by the concept that Homosexuals can be the equals of heterosexuals. There is no need for an amendment to the Constitution that’s real lasting impact will be to Protect the SENSIBILITIES of the people.
Diversion#3: Flag Pins: Barack Obama; Serial Non flag Pin wearer!!! ARREST THAT MAN! Wait.. That’s not…actually…Illegal. Um.. What is the real issue here? Why the Hell does it matter that this man doesn’t wear a flag pin. I don’t wear one, and I don’t catch any flack for it.
And I am more of a Patriot than you.
The reason I don’t wear one? I don’t own one. And I don’t wear too many things that have lapels on them. Poverty and lapels don’t really mix.
Just because Senator Obama doesn’t wear a flag pin doesn’t mean he’s Un-American. He’s Put legislation into law that has helped millions of Americans. Just like every other senator. I personally think that makes the Man more of a Patriot than any whiny, wimpy, self appointed, alleged patriot who thinks wearing a flag pin is important.
If you Look at the Picture currently presented by the media and Politicians of this fine land, Mudslinging and stupidity are masquerading as political thought, and in truth rule the land. Makes me angry as hell thinking that Issues like education and the environment get less play then these useless, trivial, mindless alleged issues.
…..And you know there’ll be more as well. Stay tuned boys and girls. ![]()
